Welcome to OptomStudent
Hello, thank-you for visiting my blog. I am Jason and I am a student optometrist
about to finish my first year at university.
The purpose of this blog is basically to give an insight into life as an
optometry student, from lectures and practicals to the social side of
university life.
Optometry is an involving subject that is so much fun to study. Although you can expect there to be lectures (it really wouldn’t be university without lectures...), there are interesting laboratory experiments to get to work on. That is not even mentioning the clinical training you get to participate in, which gives you the chance to experience what optometrists do.
My aim is to update this blog at least once weekly, providing you a summary of my week. It would be great to follow me if you are planning to study optometry as this is a real look at optometry from someone actually doing it. Similarly, current students can follow out of interest (or if you know me personally, see what I’ve been up to recently).
I look forward to your visits,
Jason
